After the hellish ordeal last night (which I wasn’t able to blog about since it revolved around my PowerBook’s keyboard drowning in mango juice and dying on me), I had quite a nice day. Hahaha.

Temporarily on our not-so-brand-new Mac Mini from Ynzal. ^_^ It rocks. Period. Though it’s only second hand. Hahahaha. Leopard, baby!

TOSH with Mom, brothers and a friend. Mmmm. Chicken and mushroom.

Seeing me sulking about the death of my keyboard, Mom promised to buy me an ASUS EEE. A pink one! Have no idea what it is? Google, my friend. Google.

Went to Nail Treats with a friend. Ahhh. Pampering. Foot spa + pedicure.

–> Hindi eh. Hahaha. Pero confident akong gagraduate ako ah! Kahit gano man katagal ,gagraduate ako!

–> Dalawang School of Stat shirt (so bilang hindi college ang stat, school shirt lang meron ako?)

22. Naranasan mo na bang mag 1vs100 sa CRS?
–> Oo. At hindi ko nakuha. Hahaha

23. Naglalaro ka ba ng Guess the Course/Spot that Freshie kapag wala kang magawa habang tumatambay sa AS? Isinasabay mo ba ang Girl/Boy Hunting sa larong ito?
–> Yung guess the course nung freshie pa ako. Yung spot that freshie, eh ang obvious na freshie siya eh! Hanapin mo lang yung mukhang malinis na mayaman na ewan (tapos marami silang magkakasama!), freshie yun.

24. Nangungulekta ka ba ng Kule? Ano ang favorite section mo dito?
–> Hindi eh. Hahaha. May online copy naman. :)) Hanapin niyo sa Deviantart.

25. Sino ang pinakastriktong guard sa UP na nakilala mo? Yung hindi mo talaga matakasan na wala kang ID?
–> Yung sa chem! Taray taray pag wala kang ID. Buti pa yung sa Physics at yung sa Stat. Ay at yung sa AS din! Si manong kalbo

26. Nakukulangan ka pa ba sa ruta ng Ikot at Toki Jeep? Anung gusto mong ibahin sa ruta nito?
–> Mula bahay papuntang NIP (parehong new at old ha). HAHAHA.

27. Natatakot ka ba sa mga tingin ng mga nangangampanya tuwing Elections? Bakit?
–> Hindi naman. Natatakot ako sa mga FLYERS. Yung mga FLYERS NA PAGKARAMI RAMI. Minsan nakatatlong set ako ng flyers nang dumaan ako sa AS!

28. May bura ka na ba sa Form 5 mo? Anu yon?
–> Ang bura sa Form 5 ay hindi maiiwasan. Hahahaha. Ang dugo nga ng Form5A ko nung isang sem eh! Lahat ng subject pwera isa at PE binura ko (see here). Tas yung sa Form5 na sinusulatan naman, potek ang hirap sulatan!

29. Nagkaprof ka na ba na laging wala sa klase tapos tinadtad kayo ng make-up classes sa end ng sem? Sino?
–> HAHAHAHAHAHA. Tatawa na lang ako. Diba Tonico, Han?

30. Alam mo ba kung saan ginagawa ang Blue Book? Gusto mo bang magventure sa business na ito?
–> Sa Ateneo ginagawa yun diba?

I’ve been tinkering with my brothers’ Rubik’s cube for a while. Ever since I independently figured out how to do the first layer, I just had this desire to finish the cube. I finished my first 2×2 cube last Thursday night, and my first 3×3 on Friday night with the help of Vince, Bingot and Chato.

Now, I’m still in the process of learning, and finding the logic and arithmetic behind the algorithms they provided me. So to make things a bit somewhat easier, besides giving names to the moves that I do, I imagined the cube as one atom with different colored electron. I imagined that solving the cube was like looking for the electron configuration of that atom.

It was like moving the electrons around, filling in each layer, each side, each configuration before I get to the final state of the “atom.” HAHAHA.

I’m being brainwashed. Tch.

I always wrote here in my blog how highschool can be so different from college. How true you can be to your friends in highschool, I thought, varies greatly with your friends in college.

But this weekend, I was proven wrong.

Well, blame it, I guess on the two consecutive parties by two groups of people: my high school crowd, and my college crowd.

Both groups can be very different, but I can be very me in both of them. :)

I had fun on “prom night” friday and highschool attire saturday. :D

For ONE NIGHT ONLY, we’re bringing together the good ol’ high school bands (most of them disbanded only) of high school batch 2006.. Halo-halong schools to! It’s an excuse to see each other again! Magkamustahan tayo! Nasaan na ang mga tao? Mga dating kaklase! Go go go!

My Creative Writing teacher once said that technology somehow brings us farther apart. The convenience of just sending a person text messages or electronic mails widens the gap between the concerned people. Rather than seeing and meeting each other physically for updates on each other’s lives, one could just twiddle with a few buttons, click send, and voila! You’re connected. The problem, I guess, with these technological innovations is that they take away the luxury of physical and intimate contact.

But what about if there’s no other way? What if the person is out of the country? Surely you can’t just take a plane just to see how he or she is.

Niel, a dear friend of mine, celebrated her birthday yesterday. Problem is, she’s in Australia. So how the heck could we celebrate her 18th birthday with her?

Through the Internet, of course!

Yesterday, her group of friends organized a surprise potluck webcam party so we could celebrate her birthday “with” her. They set a laptop on a table, attached a webcam beside it and pointed it to the dining area. Though there were some technical problems (storm in Australia and late guests and we had to wait for a few more hours til uptime was possible), it was sure an exciting idea.

The party was awkward and exciting at the same time. It felt weird seeing the birthday girl on the laptop screen as we all were seated in the tables, eating. But it just felt good that we can see her and she can see us.

Belated happy birthday Niel! May you bring home the joys and happiness of kangaroos and koala bears. :)

I’m not a fan of online stores. Online stores mean spending, and money is not a luxury I have.

Big problem: when I’m with Kara, I almost always end up spending money (movies and tuesdays with Jen and Kara).

Bigger problem: Even if I’m not with her she still finds ways to make me spend my money (P60 cupcake, anyone?).

Biggest bigger problem: Kara now has an online store! (oh gosh I think I hear my wallet weeping). And that’s a baaaad combination. Kara + Online store = SUPER GASTOS. HAHAHAHA.

GOOD THING that she’s only selling mostly girly-girly stuff, which, of course, I wouldn’t be buying (though I heard she would be expanding to personalized silkscreen printed shirts. Oh noooo).
