Most people think God is like the sun: fiery and fierce. So powerful that if we do the littlest of sin, He’ll scald us to death. Sometimes we even think that we can never look at God directly just like we can never look at the sun directly. Our eyes will hurt, our faces will hurt. We may think that if we approach Him, we’ll just get burned.
But, you know what I think?

God is like a rainbow. :) A pretty pretty rainbow. With colors so beautiful, pretty and pleasing to the eye. For me He’s not that bad as we all thought.
Some of you might argue, “but a person, no matter how far he travels, will never reach a rainbow. 42 degrees away from the anti-solar point will always be 42 degrees. You try to reach a rainbow and it will always move away. So that means, by your analogy, you will never reach God?”
For me, that’s why the rain is there. Rain comes down from the heavens, just as Jesus came down to Earth. As rain falls, touches, and cleanses, Jesus came down, touched, and healed.
And how do you think we can see rainbows if rain wasn’t there? How else could we see God if we didn’t see Jesus?
Though sometimes rainbows aren’t visible because the anti-solar point is not at an appropriate location to make the 42 degree angle. But, you just hang in there and eventually the sun will move and your rainbow will appear. :) Yeap, it’s certain. The sun will always move, and your light will hit the rain, and your rainbow will appear. Just be patient.
And it also depends on perspective. No two rainbows are alike. Because people are in different locations, people will see rainbows very differently. Your 42 degrees will be different from my 42 degrees. It’s like how people view God differently. Your view might be different from my view, but it’s still the same refracted colors, it’s still the same God.
So, how do you see God? What’s your 42 degrees?

haha..what a nice way to destress from studying physics.;p
for me, He’s a diamond. just as how you see a diamond differently depending on how the light strikes it, we all see God on different terms. Maybe it’s bec. God wants you to know Him in the best way you can relate.
He shows you who He is at the light of your situation.:)
It’s just annoying how some people argue that their view of God is the best one. i don’t think there any is. in the end, we’re all worshiping and loving the only God there is:multifaceted and beautiful.:)

Physics din yang diamond na yan. A nicely cut diamond will exhibit total internal reflection because of its high index of refraction. Light does not pass through, rather, it bounces back. This makes the diamond sparkle beautifully when viewed from different angles. :)
I guess the “best” view of God is every person’s own view of Him. No one can see God as how another can see Him. We’re all looking at the same God through different angles. :)

pero nice one on physics and God. who says it has always been God vs science? :D
