(kalahating milyon daw papakawalan ko pag nag-ateneo ako)
i want to to go ateneo
(loving the jesuits and their work)
i would love to shift to physics w/ materials science and engineering before enrolling

Both (:

dude, bago ako mag-comment, share ko lng. i chose ateneo. :D
uhm… tama ka, malaking pera magagastos kapag sa ateneo ka, pero pag tiningnan mo, pareho lng ng kind of education ang makukuha mo from ateneo and up. that’s accdg from my FATHER, who studied in UP. kaibahan lang nila eh sa up tuturuan ka din nila ng mga survival skills. pero sa ateneo, they also teach you those skills pero in a more sosyal way. gets?
and it’s sometimes just all about the PRESTIGE and HONOR that you went to UP right kaya madaming tao ang gusto dun. (no offense sa mga nag-aaral at mag-aaral dun)
basta kung anong gusto mo talaga yun sundin mo. kasi kung yung ayaw mo ang susundin mo, what’s the point?! hindi mo din naeh-enjoy yung ginagawa mo at nasasayang lang lahat. di ka din mageh-excel.
it’s not about wanting to be sought after in the future because of your school. it’s about being chased dahil MAGALING KA.
at huling hirit. this is accdg to jackie liban’s tita: pangalawa lang ang college schools sa kung gaano ka magsisikap sa ginagawa mo.
gets ba? basta mas importante na sundin mo yung talagang makakapag-pasaya sa’yo.
hahaha. good luck po. :D:D:D kaya mo yan. :D:D:D

oi….recent ba to??? well, 1st lucky ka kc nakapasa ka ng UP..alm mo bng pangarap ko un….pero undeniable din nman na mganda rin ung ateneo…ang prob lng is expensive siya….anyway….ito lng masasani ko…do you see yourself sa UP or hindi…kc dba,, mnsan pag hnd mo gus2 yung ginagawa mo you tend to “magloko”…so advice ko….FOLLOW YOUR HEART…your parents are paying your tuition…but your the person who’s going to study ryt??? explain your case I guess….makikinig nman saio un eh!!!
hassle tlga ang magdesisyon…..
kya mo yan….
nandito lng kmi……

[...] This time last year, son BA, was in a dilemma over which school to choose and what course to take in college. He passed both ACET (Ateneo College Entrance Test) and UPCAT (University of the Philippines College Admisson Test), for an honors course in Management Engineering and B.S. Statistics, respectively. I think ishi is right in a way. But if the real intention is to give pieces of advice that leads to leaving the person decide for himself in the end, I think there is no need to mention the Prestige and honor thing in UP. I think if we really would like to help BA out by letting him decide for himself, we would have given the pros and cons of choosing one of the two universities at the same time, rather than just pointing to the fault of the other to which we are less inclined. Either way, you have given a good advice. I am not defensive of my school (yeah, you’re right, Iskolar ako ng Bayan), but I would at least like you to give BA a share of your outlooks on both options.
And I am not against what you said, but on how you have said it (or wrote it in this case). =)
