One of the best pieces I’ve read. Hands down to Gian Abrahan.

I’m not really sure as to whom was he writing for in his piece, but wow, the piece made me smile. And I know that that the kind of love he was describing is the kind of love that will last.

I’m not copy-pasting the whole piece, as I want people to give true credit to who wrote the piece. If you liked it, don’t tell me, tell him. :)

The whole piece is located in his Multiply.

Enjoy.

NOTE: The piece is written as white text on a white background. Best if you copy paste in Notepad or TextEdit or whatever text editing software you have before reading.

You are the one I love and have loved the most, and the only one I have sanely loved. Often I am bothered that I have never gone head over heels for you; that I don’t fall off my seat at the sight of you; that I do not stutter whenever we talk; nor do butterflies float in my stomach whenever we talk. You do not give me sleepless night nor sweet dreams. I love you so sanely it disturbs me.

I am confused at the realization that of all that I have loved, only with you have I not cried a river of tears. You simply make me smile - - you have never even taken my breath away.

Thanks, Den, for the heads up.

They found the 3-year old kid yesterday. See news here: Missing 3-yr-old boy reunited with family.

But I still can’t help but get mad at the abductors. They snatched the kid to make him beg in the streets. I know, times are hard and all, but that’s not enough reason to randomly snatch three year olds and make them beg. If you want to beg in the streets, you can do that yourself. But using a kid who wasn’t really supposed to be begging in the first place?

I can’t think of any good reason to abduct the kid, because there really is none.

What a twisted world we live in.

I do hope they find the kid soon. Y’all know that I have a soft spot for kids. It just angers me that someone has the gall to snatch this 3 year old boy for their personal gain. Diba? Tatlong taong gulang na batang walang kamuwang-muwang sa mundo, ilalayo nila sa magulang nila? At may sakit pa ang bata sa lagay na yan.

Anyways. I’m reposting his tita’s article here in my blog just in case someone out there in the blogosphere knows where the kid is.

Taken from: http://melquita.multiply.com/photos/album/348/HELP_My_Nephew_Was_Abducted

My pamangkin, Kuya Ken’s son Matthew, where we took the other half of the business namesake was abducted last night at Festival Mall in Alabang.

Name: Matthew” Chu-chu” David Samudio
Age: 3 Years Old, Can barely speak straight.
Address: 16 guyabano st umali rd. summitville subdivision putatan muntinlupa city 1770

He was last seen at Tom’s World Arcade in Festival Mall Alabang, around 8pm yesterday July 22, 2008 wearing Green Checkered Polo, Maong pants and Green Mr. Bean Slippers.

When we reviewed the surveillance camera in said mall, there was this chubby impoverished looking girl around 12-13 years old wearing a dirtied pink top with floral design and a reddish jogging pants who summoned my nephew and then whispered something to him, then my pamangkin who is very “bibo” readily took her hand as they went out of the said premises.

Guys, I need your help with this, if you know people in the media, police or government agency who might be able to HELP us locate my nephew, I’m begging you, please, please help us. Or at the very least, please pass this message to as many people as possible, who knows where the abductors might have taken him… Matthew is a very sickly kid, he rarely eats unless his yaya feeds him and he was about to have an operation for fluid in his right testis.

If there are any news or lead that can locate my nephew, please help us… Sobrang kawawa ang pamangkin ko, who knows how they are treating him…I dont want this thing happening to any kid so please help my nephew. PLEASE. You can contact my brother at 0923-638-4632.

Thank you so much and God Bless you!

You aimed at the sky, pulled your imaginary bow taut, and released, shooting your imaginary arrow straight up.

And the sky danced along with your laughter as your arrow pierced through the wind and through the sun.

Eventually you waited. You waited, waited, waited, waited and waited for your arrow to come back.

But nothing came.

There was no arrow.

Nothing came.

Except for the dance of the sun. The playful golden rays bathed you in light’s calescence.

And you began to glow as you become entangled with the infinitely warm and glorious silent music.

Arrow? What arrow?

I don’t think you remembered any arrow being shot up. And I don’t think you even remembered waiting for it.

For at that moment, there was only you, the wind, the sun…

… and its dance.

How does it feel like to have your month to be superly saturated?

NOT AT ALL GOOD.

I didn’t take Ma’am Ianne seriously when she said that when you get into a lab, you’d have to say bye-bye to your social life. And here I am, only halfway through the application process, but already bidding my July goodbye. And, it was announced this afternoon that the application might be extended. Thank God the period lang, not the things we have to do.

I first found this article on Enzo’s Multiply. Eventually, I chanced upon the website of the author herself. It’s quite a nice read. Reassures me that I made the right choice 2 years ago. :)

There are no children here.

This week, I went to a meeting at the UP School of Economics and I came away with renewed belief in the value of the UP experience.

If you speak to anyone from UP – student, professor, alumnus - you will get no Latin slogans or apologies about how the school teaches values in spite of its outward materialism. This is not a student population that thinks about basketball games or memorizes school songs. This is not a school that chooses one statement to drill into the minds of its students.

The LORD supports all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.

This is one of my more favorite Jesuit songs. It always gives me this warm fuzzy feeling whenever I listen to it. And it uplifts my spirit whenever I feel sad, down, or tired. Reminds me that He’s just always there even if I choose not to notice Him.

That’s how much He loves us. :)

Song lyrics and streaming music below the jump. Enjoy, and God bless.

Here’s my situation: I am currently a 2.5th year BS Applied Physics undergraduate student in the University of the Philippines. 2.5th year because first, I have just shifted from BS Statistics the previous academic year, and thus, second, I am way way way behind the curriculum. I have tried to catch up with the academic program through two summer semesters, and by taking up the bigger subjects simultaneously, but still I’m behind.
