Offline Much?

I have been somewhat disconnected from the online world these past few days. Being not able to write much, I owe the bloggers at least 2 entries about the recent blogger happenings, SpotPh’s blogger food tour and iBlog4. Wait, make that three if I were to write about 88db.com’s party. Though I left that party for a while, hahaha. Being my Mother’s driver for that night, I had to stay away from alcohol. And skipping dinner (because I thought there was food in 88db.com’s party! Darn bitin pica-picas), I spent most of the time in Banapple where I bumped into Vernie and AJ, who were very very wonderful company. :)

But alas, I’m still stuck studying (or procrastinating) for my summer classes. Tch. Oh well.

Yes, this is me procrastinating.

Will be writing those entries sometime soon. I just have to get through my exam and presentation first.

Currently am in Five Cows, in Trinoma. It’s our last stop in SpotPh’s Blogger food tour.

Gosh. Konti na lang sasabog na tiyan ka! HAHAHAHA.

Full entry and photos to follow. :)

“Thermodynamics is a funny subject. The first time you go through it, you don’t understand it at all. The second time you go through it, you think you understand it, except for one or two small points. The third time you go through it, you know you don’t understand it, but by that time you are so used to it, it doesn’t bother you any more.”

Ack. It’s the middle of summer vacation and I have exams! ANG HIRAP PA MAG-ARAL KASI ANG INIT! Potek.

Love You Forever

Josie and I were in National Bookstore the other night, after our isaw adventure in the afternoon. We were in the children’s books section looking for a copy of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” for her CWTS when we came across this children’s book by Robert Munsch.

We almost cried right there and then. We looked like bawling weirdos in the middle of National Bookstore. We were holding our tears back, while we both remembered our beloved mothers.

I almost bought the book, but it was waaaaaaaaay to expensive for a 20 page book. Well, children’s books are made that way: expensive, short, but with substance.

Enjoy.

I love you mom. :)

I was in the isaw stand near Law with Josie this afternoon when a kid came up to us asking for some spare change. But Josie and I, rather than giving kids spare change, always made it a point to give food instead. Yes sometimes it can be more expensive to buy street kids some food but there is much much more impact than just simply brushing them off by giving them coins which they could use for who knows what.

Anyways, Josie offered to buy the kid some ice cream, an invitation which he readily accepted. As we went towards the ice cream dude three more kids tagged along. Of course, we also had to buy them ice cream.

Oh well. Does this mean, goodbye ASUS EEE?

But still, it’s alive! I’m so happy! *cry*

Detox Day

After the hellish ordeal last night (which I wasn’t able to blog about since it revolved around my PowerBook’s keyboard drowning in mango juice and dying on me), I had quite a nice day. Hahaha.

Temporarily on our not-so-brand-new Mac Mini from Ynzal. ^_^ It rocks. Period. Though it’s only second hand. Hahahaha. Leopard, baby!

TOSH with Mom, brothers and a friend. Mmmm. Chicken and mushroom.

Seeing me sulking about the death of my keyboard, Mom promised to buy me an ASUS EEE. A pink one! Have no idea what it is? Google, my friend. Google.

Went to Nail Treats with a friend. Ahhh. Pampering. Foot spa + pedicure.

DVD watching at home.

Just don’t remind me my PowerBook’s keyboard doesn’t work and I’ll be fine.

EDIT: Hi Cai!!! Nakakahiya, nakita mo akong nagsisigaw. Hahaha

The Price of Rice

Is the rice crisis really that bad? I’ve got this gut feeling that the government just exaggerated small problems, and the media just took the bait and sensationalized the news.

It’s just weird. We’re supposed to be the rice developing country. Whatever happened to IRRI?

Agh.

Apr 9

Ugly. Hahaha. Had the worst sem, ever.

Anyways.

Physics 72 (upgraded): Hahaha. Not your ordinary Physics 72. Modified siya for Physics majors.

Highschool memories. Hahaha. Cheesiness. Ang galing nga eh. I was reminded of this poem in one of the short films in Mogwai Cafe in Cubao. It was a somewhat culmination activity for Sir Nap Jamir’s Film 113 and 131 classes, 2nd sem AY 07-08. Goosebumps all over. Siyempre, high school flashback fastforward future adult world yung setting nung film na fineature ito. Eh high school namin ito tinake-up (or hindi ata namin kinuha ito, nandun lang sa koleksyon ng mga tula). Hahaha.

Enjoy the love. ^_^

Mangyari Lamang
Cerilo Rico Abelardo

Mangyari lamang ay tumayo
Ang mga nagmamahal
Nang makita ng lahat
Ang kagandahan ng mukha ng pag-ibig
Ipamalas ang tamis
Ng malalim na pagkakaunawaan
Sa mga Malabo ang paningin

Mangyari lamang ay tumayo rin
Ang mga nagmahal at nasawi
Nang makita ng lahat
Ang mga sugat ng isang bayani
Ipadama ang pait ng kabiguan
Habang ipinagbubunyi

Mabuhay kayong lahat
Na nagsisikap makabalik sa ating pinagmulan
Manatiling masaya
At higit sa lahat, mapatuloy
Sa pagmamahal

Apparently, there was no wireless internet in Caliraya, Laguna. I don’t even think they know what wi-fi was (the owners of the resort were old Koreans, I think). AND THE RESORT WAS CHARGING P150 AN HOUR FOR INTERNET! Tch.

Anyways. Kwento is to follow. I need to rest first. (and catch up on Multiply, blogs, etc. Hahaha.)

Apr 5

… and I’m ready to go!

Yee-haw! Laguna, baby!

Leaving for Laguna in a few. I was promised free wireless access there. Yee
