Whenever I feel like it, I wake up early and jog 2 laps around the UP Academic Oval.

That would’ve sounded great, but remember, I only do it whenever I feel like it. And I rarely feel like doing it!

This morning was one of those mornings. So I woke up at 6:30, prepping myself up to jog when all of a sudden my brother asks me to drive him to his girlfriend’s house. So I did. When I got home, I dressed up in my jogging clothes hoping I could jog already, but my sister asked me to drive her to Katipunan. Tch.

So after that, off I went to jogging. And as all the other jogging mornings I had, it went like this:

1/4 of the oval warming up.
1 whole oval jogging.
3/4 cooling down (Read: WALKING).

HAHAHAHA.

I get tired easily. I guess it’s because I was never exposed to sports when I was a kid. I was a geeky kid back then, playing Commander Keen instead of going out to play basketball.

Anyways. This morning was weirder because Dad gave me P100 McDonald’s money for bringing my siblings to their respective destinations. So, after jogging, I went straight towards McDonald’s Katipunan’s drive-through and bought myself a longganisa meal and a hashbrown.

So much for exercising. :p

After watching numerous videos of the Cebu prisoners in Byron Garcia’s Multiply Profile, Pinoys should make a PINOY PRISON MUSICAL.

I miss going to retreats. I wanna go to one!

Buuuut, retreats are more meaningful when you’re with close friends.

Do Churches here in the Philippines give “barkada retreats?” That would be nice. Hehehe

I hate reading the social/lifestyle sections of newspapers.

It reminds me that there are people in this world who spend, spend, spend lots of money on worthless material stuff such as clothes on fashion weekends…

… while there are naked kids on the street who work, work, work just to get by each day.

My Creative Writing teacher once said that technology somehow brings us farther apart. The convenience of just sending a person text messages or electronic mails widens the gap between the concerned people. Rather than seeing and meeting each other physically for updates on each other’s lives, one could just twiddle with a few buttons, click send, and voila! You’re connected. The problem, I guess, with these technological innovations is that they take away the luxury of physical and intimate contact.

But what about if there’s no other way? What if the person is out of the country? Surely you can’t just take a plane just to see how he or she is.

Niel, a dear friend of mine, celebrated her birthday yesterday. Problem is, she’s in Australia. So how the heck could we celebrate her 18th birthday with her?

Through the Internet, of course!

Yesterday, her group of friends organized a surprise potluck webcam party so we could celebrate her birthday “with” her. They set a laptop on a table, attached a webcam beside it and pointed it to the dining area. Though there were some technical problems (storm in Australia and late guests and we had to wait for a few more hours til uptime was possible), it was sure an exciting idea.

The party was awkward and exciting at the same time. It felt weird seeing the birthday girl on the laptop screen as we all were seated in the tables, eating. But it just felt good that we can see her and she can see us.

Belated happy birthday Niel! May you bring home the joys and happiness of kangaroos and koala bears. :)

I’m not a fan of online stores. Online stores mean spending, and money is not a luxury I have.

Big problem: when I’m with Kara, I almost always end up spending money (movies and tuesdays with Jen and Kara).

Bigger problem: Even if I’m not with her she still finds ways to make me spend my money (P60 cupcake, anyone?).

Biggest bigger problem: Kara now has an online store! (oh gosh I think I hear my wallet weeping). And that’s a baaaad combination. Kara + Online store = SUPER GASTOS. HAHAHAHA.

GOOD THING that she’s only selling mostly girly-girly stuff, which, of course, I wouldn’t be buying (though I heard she would be expanding to personalized silkscreen printed shirts. Oh noooo).

Anyways. This post is basically a shameless plug, so, HAHAHA.

Visit her online store at http://entropyonline.multiply.com!

If only all my second sem grades were like this:

Uno galore. HAHAHA.

Pahabol:
Physics111: 2.50 (OYEAH!)
Math55: 5.00

To my parents: I deeply apologize for the 5.00 listed up there. I know both of you work very hard to put me to school, and failing that 3 unit course was like throwing P900 away, but, don’t worry, I’ll try to make up for it next semester. I was just too distracted and affected in the final stretch of the sem (and I think you know why). Pero promise, hindi ako nagpabaya nung sem na yun. I have 7 units worth of uno, so that’s like P2100 worth of uno, diba? :D Love ko kayo! :D

I light the second stick and smoke and the fragrance of jasmine immediately fills the air. I toss the blackened matchstick away.

Burning, burning slowly.

The essence consumes steadily. The aroma wafting to my nostrils. Jasmine intruding my soul.

Slowly, slowly burning.

To ashes.

Farewell, dear fragrance.

More incense, less nonsense.

I had an awfully weird dream the other night.

In my dream, out of the blue, I decided to finance the construction of a columbarium. Being the financier, I was given the privilege to choose whom I wanted to do the designs of the columbarium. Since they were good friends of my brother I entrusted Conrad to do the designs, and Dondi to oversee the construction.

The next thing I saw is that they constructed a gigantic green, yellow and pink columbarium, with a pink and yellow flower on top of a dome.

The duo toured me around, and eventually showed me my final resting place, the flower.

I woke up, puzzled.

Our internet connection shut down at around 1am this morning. BayanDSL was down in our neighborhood. It would’ve been a much much welcomed break, since this means I could sleep earlier (no more distractions for me that would drag my sleeping time to 4am). But no, Mom desperately needed connection, as there were Virtual clients waiting for her online.

So off to an adventure we went. I drover her to Mcdo Matalino, thinking the coffee shop beside was online. But alas, their routers were shut down, and we had to find other hotspots.

We were sitting in Mcdo, thinking of other options, when I crazily suggested we go to Eastwood. Yep, Eastwood, 1:30am, weekday. Mom readily agreed and off we went to Eastwood City.

Eastwood was heaven-sent, as they had 24-hour wifi access throughout the city. Thank God for unlimited Airborne Access, and Mom was able to do what she needed to do. Though Starbucks kicked us out (because they had to close at 3am), Eastwood was very accommodating as they had wifi all throughout. As Mom typed (and talked) away on her Macbook, I on the other hand was fiddling with my PSP, playing games through the wee hours of the morning.

Driving home at 5am was exciting and scary at the same time. Hahaha. It was dark, and there were no other cars in sight.

I’m glad that’s over. But I’m willing to go on another adventure like that. Next time I wish Something Fishy was open when we go (P80 breakfast buffet, baby!).

It was one of the times I’m so glad that I owned a PSP, as it kept me busy, entertained, and awake. Hahaha.

And the little Angel too.

I’ve been on unannounced blog leave, ever since Michael became an angel. The entries that appeared a week after were a few copy-pastes and short updates.

Going to Holy Mass at noon, eating lunch, visiting him in Loyola in the afternoon, and finally praying the Rosary in the evening has become a habit since he left. We’re still grieving until now.

Sembreak so far has been uneventful. Besides what I’ve mentioned up there, I’ve done nothing but play games (PS2, PSP, PC), download files, read blogs, and SLEEP. Went out on a movie once with Kara, Jen, and Aya, but that’s about it.

And now, I finally get to sit down and write, and what do I write about? Senseless stuff. Great.

I’ve had the ctfmon.exe trojan for the longest time, but I didn’t do anything about it since I thought it was the harmless ctfmon.exe system file. Argh.

Once all my torrent downloads are finished I’m switching back to Linux

HAHA. So nerdy. Was snatched from Troy’s Multiply, which was snatched from another site.

Physicists’ pick up lines. (www.physics.bc.edu/sps/pickup.html)

1. Can I have your significant numbers?
2. Einstein had great hair, didn’t he? I just love your hair.
3. Wanna dance? I can really put your inertia in motion.
4. Your eyes have a perfect wavelength of 563.4 nm.
5. You’re more special than relativity.
6. Those other guys said that your eyes shine like stars. But can they explain how they shine with equal brightness?
7. I’m attracted to you like the Earth is attracted to the Sun-with a large force inversely proportional to the distance squared
8. Hey baby, what’s your sine?
9. Like the ideal vacuum, you’re the only thing in my universe.
10. I swear I’m not a physics major.
