Friuli with Jen and Kara yesterday. Mmmmm. Foooooooood.

As Kara said, “good food and good friends always make me feel good.”

:)

We three still have three years in UP (yeah, 5 year courses :p). So we still have time to conquer all the eateries near and around UP. HAHAHA.

Was tagged by Maki and by Lemuel. But wasn’t able to do it agad since it was the week of the blog disasters. Hahaha. And acads too!

Anyways. Here goes.

Rules:“Each person links to the person who tagged them. Then each person posts the rules before their list. Then they list 8 things about themselves. At the end of the post, that person tags and links to 8 other people and then visits those people’s sites and comments and letting them know that they’ve been tagged, and to come read the post so they know what they have to do …”

1. I’ve been blogging for around 3 years. I started in May 2004. I was more of a blogger than my brother back then. Though he set his blog up earlier than mine, he never updated it until around a year after. I remember that he used to make fun of my older blog entries. Hahaha.

2. I used to love math when I was in grade school. The love lessened when I was in high school. Now that I’m in college, I somewhat abhor it. Hahahaha. Oh how I tried to love triple and double integrals, but they never loved me back.

3. I have 3 sets of high school PE shirts that I don’t want to give away to my sisters. In this house of ours, when you don’t use your school PE shirts anymore the girls use them as their pambahay. The color of the shirts that I don’t want to give away are: yellow (because it makes a nice pambahay), orange (because I like orange), and maroon (oh how I love the juxtaposition of the name “Ateneo” on maroon color).

4. I love kids, but not the bratty ones. Reading back on my old (locked) blog entries, I have always expressed my excitement whenever my sister-in-law was to give birth (and this year was no exception when the baby boy popped out, hehe). My Christian Service Program (CSP) site back in 2nd year high school was the Foundling Home in Boys’ Town. My playmate during my Banlaw immersion was an 8 year old kid. When I’m at Aya’s, I bond more with her brother than her (uh-oh, she might kill me for saying this).

5. I’m not much of a sleeper. My brother Vince can sleep up to 12 hours when he has the time. My Mom sleeps whenever she can. Me, when I wake up, I can’t sleep again. :| Like today, I slept at 330am, only to find myself awake at 10. It’s 1230, and Vince is, well, still asleep (and he slept earlier than I did!)

6. I am almost always invisible in Yahoo! Messenger, or sometimes just “busy” (see the small red dot?). It gives me a weird but satisfying feeling of “I see you but you don’t see me.” And it also gives me the liberty of choosing whom I can chat with. It’s a sucky feeling when one sends you an IM but you don’t get to reply.

7. The phrase “bababa ba?” only stuck to me back in the summer before 4th year high school. It was in our college entrance test review class when a teacher of ours mentioned how weird the Filipino language was as one could already make a sentence by repeating a single syllable, in this case, the syllable “ba.” Thus, “bababa ba?” And also a lot of people call me “ba,” instead of the “bee-ey,” kaya ayun.

8. I always hang out in Stat or the StatSoc tambayan even if one, I’m not a Stat major anymore, and two, I am not a member of StatSoc. Hahaha. I just love hanging out with these people.

There, I did it. :)

Happy birthday Bingot. :)

Some of you may know that my sister-in-law gave birth to a bouncing baby boy around 4 days ago. Add another Racoma to the list! Woohoo! Hahaha.

Anyways. Paid a visit to their house this morning when my Physics111 class was canceled.

Pia and Cate were their natural makulit selves (Pia speaking and Cate repeating everything Pia says, HEHEHE). Baby boy was sleeping.

After hugging her mom, Cate asked us, “who’s the mommy of my baby brother?”

HAHAHAHA. :)

Anyways. After discussing with her that they have the same mom, I pointed out to SexyMom and said, “Cate, this one naman is my mom.”

She reacts violently and says, “hindi naman mommy yan eh! Lola yan eh!”

Isa pang HAHAHAHA. XD Binubuking si Mommy.

I said that I’ll be sleeping at 12am. Guess what? It’s 2:37am. :p

I’ve been running and hopping around blogs that concern what the kids in Taste Asia: Blogger Foodfest 2 yesterday dubbed as “pampakinis ng mukha.”

If you would remember, a few entries of mine dated early to mid April concern a gigantic company (which I would not name) with members who start attacking people through the comments sections of blogs, or even building blogs themselves.

A lot of the pro-company commentators that I have encountered mentioned that readers should not believe bloggers, as most of the time they are posting opinions, and thus, are not credible.

Now, I am in no power to justify the credibility of bloggers, as I am just a small blogger myself. But what ticked me off is the generalization of bloggers being unbelievable or incredible. Other comments that I have come through have said that bloggers are just bloggers, writing opinions that are not reliable. Others even stated that what were written on blogs just stay in the blogs.

Great. How I hate hasty generalizations (although I’m doing some right now, hahaha).

Anyways. I believe in the power of New Media. It gives you a voice. TIME Magazine even dubbed YOU (and me) as the Person of the Year, as this era gave us much much more louder voice that could be heard at all the ends of the Earth (provided that the given end has an internet connection, hehe).

I find it annoying that other people put down this kind of media, as they said that some blog entries are “merely opinions” of idiots in cyberspace. Saying that these are just opinions, I can understand. But saying that other writers are idiots? Tsk tsk tsk. Low blow man, low blow.

I am in no position and have no power to enrage the whole Filipino blogosphere, as what I have mentioned are merely opinions, hiding the facts (ie links) that I have stumbled upon, not directly quoting what I have read. But to tell you the truth, I am somewhat disappointed at the people who don’t know how to embrace things new to them.

But yeah, some commentators have said that whatever you write in blogs, must stay in blogs. So shall I just keep my disappointment here, and forget about it right after I click that little X button on the upper-right hand corner of this window?

Friend bloggers, speak up.

But then again, if I stumble upon blogging non-believers, I guess I should drag them along the next iBlogs.

EDIT: Medyo mababaw naman lang siguro to, kasi gumawa ako ng isang mabilis na generalization. XD At kasi siyempre inaway na naman ako ng mga kung sinu-sino eh.

Something that Ate Etch told Meg, Jim and I after our cotillion practice last Friday struck a very emotional chord.

She told us that we were very lucky to have our gradeschool friendships still intact. We were a happy group, she said.

I guess it had to do with the years and years of bonding.

These people, I grew up with. That’s what makes things very different

So I guess it’s no wonder that we’re very comfortable with each other. We saw each other grow up.
:)

Because of that I am very very very very very thankful. :)

I love you guys. :) Thank you, for everything.
