Although I still enroll Globe’s Unlimitxt service (P80 at that!), I’m not much of an enthusiastic texter anymore (oo, sa lagay na yan tamad na ako). I do send occasional hello-how-are-yous because I sincerely would want to know how that person actually is. But other than that, I usually leave my phone on my bed, under the pillows, or in my pockets, or elsewhere. (The Unlimitxt is for the people who actually miss me too, hehehe)

When I started driving, I tried to train myself not to look at my cellphone, unless the vehicle has totally stopped. When someone is in the passenger seat, I ask him/her to read my texts or to answer my calls for me. When I’m alone though, I’m always tempted to shut my phone off, so as to avoid actually using it. But I can’t, since I’m always “on-call.” (one car, big family. hahaha).

And sometimes that temptation to turn off the phone is brought to the house. Hahaha. When I’m reading, watching TV, or using the computer, I’d rather have my attention undivided (although when I study, I keep the phone on so that the little distraction can keep me awake). So yeah, the little red button attracts me.

But, rather than turning off the little gadget, I turn off its sounds and stuff it either in my back pocket, or under my pillow. I just check it every now and then.

So that explains the unanswered calls and unreplied text messages.

But yeah, for me, it’s actually if some of the texts I send are unanswered. It’s not that the person is required to respond (lest the text message relays an important message/idea/thought.)

(And minsan, hindi na ako masiyadong mahilig gumamit ng smiley. Msiyadong maek-ek eh)

So yeah, I’m reminiscing about my recently concluded freshman year (plus summer!). Check out the checklist below. Hehehe. Weird questions it has. :p

Yes, I know that I was the first one to blog in the family. But, but, but, I think my popularity is only third to the J Spot and the Sexy Mom.

“Why?” you may ask.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I don’t/didn’t make much effort in networking and reaching out to people. I started blogging for personal reasons (aaahhh, the good old Tabulas days), and I think I’m still keeping it at a somewhat personal level.

I only have a good 15+ feeds on my RSS reader. I only comment on around less than 8 of them.

Yeah. I suck at this networking bit.

Anyways. Getting back to the title. The 2 supreme Racoma bloggers are getting recognition in other media, on areas that they deserve, or even don’t deserve (LOLs at Mom for her cleanliness article). JAngelo was interviewed at the Insider show and is due for another interview (still yet to be confirmed). Mom’s featured in 2 magazine articles (one published just this May, and another is set to be published by July).

So how about me? When will the camera crew and the journalists run after me?

HAHAHAHAHA.

Listen

The first step to learning a song, is listening to it. Hehehe.

I was invited to sing at a friend’s debut. Shudder, shudder.

Last time I sang in front of a public audience was August-ish last year. It was an acquaintance party for Stat majors. Since most of these people I knew, and I covered a somewhat immortal song (Joan Osbourne’s One of Us) I was a bit comfortable.

I’ve been doing a lot of sound-tripping lately, in search for a nice song. Torrents overflowing, fingers blistering.

Debut’s early next month. Eep!

Any suggestions on what to sing/play? Not much of a guitar player, to tell you the truth. Hahaha.

Summer vacation, finally.

I now have time to catch up on my sleep. But what do I do? Stay up late. Great.

In other news: I’m officially a shiftee! Say hello to the future physicist! Hahahaha

I am so dead

What my Chowking fortune cookie said: “You cannot achieve if you do not persevere, and if you do, you will get what you want.”

What I’m doing right now: NOT PERSEVERING ENOUGH.

Deymn. I am sooooo dead.

In other news: Dad didn’t kill me for scratching the car! Hoorah!

May 21

2 o’ clock I rushed to the College of Science to check the list of accepted shiftees. After parking the car, I checked how far I was from the curb, because, err, trip lang. Hahaha. I am not used to parking backwards so I just had to check. And lo and behold, there was this magical dent that came out of nowhere. Am not really sure where that came from (or if it even was my fault), but, it was enough to ruin my afternoon.

Ate Che (a fellow shiftee wannabe) instructed me to look for a Miss Lulu, since she was the one who had the list of accepted shiftees/transferees. When I asked for her in the college secretariat, I was greeted by this grouchy lady, who told me, “wag naman kasi kayong masiyadong nagmamadali! Nasa amin lang naman yung listahan eh, hindi mawawala yun. Bumalik ka na lang bago mag5!” (lemme try to translate that… Hmmmm.. “Hold your horses! The list is just with us, and we won’t lose it. Be back before 5.”). Hmph. Sungit…

Another day ruiner. Ate Che has already seen the results! Only by around 15 minutes before I requested to see it! Gr. I have been deprived of the information for around 3 days now (results were supposed to be released by May18). Argh.

And so I went home, and I was parking the car, when I heard a nasty scratching sound by the right side of the car.

I scratched our dear car. Our gate made contact with the car’s right side. Ouch.

Sigh. The Scratccccch!!! part 2?

And now, everything feels oh so gloomy. :(

I’ve closed the comments section in two of my blog entries, “Questionable Methods” and “Scam?” Things were getting kinda out of hand.

Some may ask, “why write it here in this post?” Well, I am sure that most of the trolls commenters there don’t read this blog as my blog. Hahaha. I’m positive that most of them won’t end up reading this entry. Gets?

And I am sure that since the comments section of their favorite entries are closed right now, some of them are wondering how they could get back at me for bashing their method of recruitment (o ayan, inuulit ko, hindi yung kompanya yung inaaway ko). Hahaha. Bahala sila. I still stand by my opinion that their methods of recruitment are questionable.

Ay. Teka lang. May tumatawag…

*picks up phone*

Hello? Yes, this is BA Racoma. Wow. Me? An entrepreneur? Wow! An international program? Hmm… I’m sorry, but, I’m not interested. What? You think I can do this? Big bucks? Can you please tell me what’s the nature of this “job?” What? I have to go to your office? Tomorrow? No thanks, I’m busy. Wednesday. No thanks. Saturday? Hey, you’re being too pushy. Sunday? What?? What the f***. I said, I’M NOT INTERESTED, DAMMIT.

*slams phone*

Sorry. Just de-stressing. What you just saw above is my creative writing powers in action. BWAHAHAHAHA.

UPDATE: Oh wait, I just remembered, my brother, JAngelo, reopened comments on “Scam?” just to be able to comment. Lol. I’m too lazy to close it yet. He posted quite a comment there, and I’m sure the marketers who are in their defensive modes will have a hard time replying (or maybe even finding the post itself. The other entry is more popular amongst them).

Yesterday, I attended this interview thing for (wannabe) shiftees to NIP’s Physics programs. Although they said in their announcement that it was an interview, it was more of an orientation and a self-evaluation.

It started late. Sheesh. The announcement said to just go to the profs office between 8am-5pm. I arrived there at 11pm just to be asked to return at 2pm.

Of course, since shifting to that course was no joke, they had to ask us if we really really felt that the Physics program we were applying for was indeed for us.

But, since there were around 90+ applicants, individual interviews were out of the question (one prof, 90 students). So, what the department did was to ask us to write an essay.

The question was, “is Physics really for you? Why?”

Wow. Heavy.

I have this tendency of making bola whenever from out of the blue, I’m asked to write an essay. So, bola I did (oh noooo).

It felt like I was applying for a Creative Writing course. :p All these crazy ideas were gushing in my mind as I was writing. Flying atoms, gamma rays, photons, plasma, etc. Lol.

Hahaha. Oh well. Pray that out of the 90+ hopefuls, I would be part of the 60 that they would be accepting.

So anyway, besides that, I’ve been asking myself a lot things recently. Yeah, I know. Emoemoemoemoemoemo. Hahaha. Hay, buhay.

Belated happy mother’s day!

Was in Bicol the whole weekend. Mom beat me to using cousins’ computer (and that, explains the pussycat post).

Love you, mother dear. :)

Honestly, Spider-man 3 wasn’t that awesome. I only liked it because it was something Spider-Man.

Spider-man is my favorite superhero. If you knew me back from my childhood, you’d know that I was very very very addicted to Spider-Man comics. I was even addicted to the game Maximum Carnage just because it featured Spider-Man. Lol.

Anyways. Sources said that there would be around 3 more sequels, after the movie persons renew their contracts.

Hmm.

I wish somewhere in those episodes, Carnage would appear, and Spider-Man and Venom team up against him, just like in the old comic books and video games.

Hello everyone! Hahaha. The past week has been kinda bumpy, building up, until it exploded into yesterday morning’s Math exam. Pray that I pass this time.

Been taking afternoon naps the past few days. Problem is, these supposedly short naps become all-nighters. Next thing I know, I either wake up at 2am, ti find my Mother still working, or at 5am, wherein I would already have to prepare for my 7am class.

So, no more time for computering. :p

Another thing is that our computers have been giving up on us. My brother says it might be due to the heat. Oh well.
