May 30

Ok, so I’m still here, in front of the computer. It’s as if I can’t let go of this thing. Hahaha.

I should be leaving now papuntang Lauan. Pero, pero, pero… Si computer ko pano? Si blog? Waaah.

So ito, babay na talaga. Hahaha.

May 30

I’ll be leaving the house around 11:00am later. Hahaha. I’m just posting this so you know I’ll be gone for a while.

Kahit alam kong posible at kayang kaya. Hahaha. Bahala na sa Batangas.

So mukhang marami pala akong mamimiss ngayon. Showcase ng kapatid ko, gig ng mga kaibigan ko, Matabungkay with the Dacanays, Lukbans, and friends, at ang PBB eviction night! Oh nooo.

Bakit pa kasi hindi ako pinayagan dati? Waaaah.

Pero sacrifice, BA. Sacrifice.

So kung may gusto kayong sabihin habang wala ako, magcomment na lang kayo sa entry na ito or mag-tag sa tagboard. Hahaha.

Hallelujah!

May 29

Since I would be gone for a week, I decided to go with Julian, Arjay, and Inna sa Gateway to watch X-men 3 for the second time. Well, babayush luxury muna for a week, so lakwatsa mode ako ngayon.

At siyempre pinanuod namin ulit kasi hindi namin naabutan yung after credits.

“SAY TO NO THE CURE!”

Hahaha. Nice placard by the anti-cure rallyists.

So after the movie, we took the MRT to Shang, Julian played a round of DanceMania, and then we took the jeep to Julian’s house.

Inna confessed that it was her first jeepney ride, at obvious naman kasi mukha siyang takot.

Sa bahay ni Julian, we decided to watch John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo’s Close to You (introducing Sam Milby) to pass the time. Hahaha.

“Water flows from the Merlion like the love that flows from my heart.”

We ended the Julian house session by watching Michael Jackson’s music videos slash mini-flicks.

Hahaha. Bad guys dancing mala-Broadway jazz moves. Astiiiiig. Well, it looked fun! Masaya siguro maging back-up dancer ni Michael Jackson. Well, masaya sana, except for him being sooooo creepy. Hahaha. And as the mini-flicks became funnier, Michael Jackson became creepier. Hahaha.

I like his songs and his grooves, pero creepy lang talaga siya.

So ‘yun. I had a fun day. Thanks to Julian, Arjay and Inna! :)

A week’s worth

I’ll be leaving for Farm Camp this Tuesday. It’ll last for a week. Hahaha. Pray na makayanan ko.

I can do this, I can do this, I CAN DO THIS! Hahaha.

The initial descriptions of Farm Camp are remniscent of three very Atenean activities. Namely: Banlaw, Gawad Kalinga, and Tulong Dunong.

We’ll be staying in a rural area for a week. Away from home luxuries. We’ll be washing the plates and cleaning the areas. We’ll be going to church with the lolas in the morning. That’s the Banlaw component.

We’ll be building some infrastructure for 2 days. Mixing cement and carrying hollowblocks would be our day’s work. That’s the GK component.

We’ll be tutoring farm kids, complete with the lesson plans and quizzes and exams. May home visit pa! That’s the TD component.

Pero may bonus. War-games and sports with the kids, and mala-palasyong beach house escapade with the kapwa volunteers on the last day.

Hahaha. All-in-one! And all in one week! Ayus!

Needless to say, I’ll be on blog break from May 30 to June 5. Kita kits na lang after.

Dancing Nostalgia
icon1 BA | icon2 Fun, Thoughts | icon4 05 28th, 2006| icon32 Comments »

Three years ago I was the one on that stage. But things were different. I was with the newly created dance troupe of Ateneo High. We brought no spectators. Only ourselves and our families.

Nervousness flooded our dressing room. Girls flooded the audience, and the backstage, too.

Only then that we realized that we were the only male group to compete.

We ran outside, to the theater’s parking lot. Cramming our moves and grooves. The competition scared the hell out of us. “Girls are naturally better dancers”, we thought.

Fatigue kicked in and bottles of red bull and Extra Joss were emptied in only a few swigs. There was a brief moment of silence behind the curtains. After a few minutes, it was our turn to dance.

We danced. We enjoyed. We were ecstatic on stage. There were blunders here and there, but we did not care. The only thing that mattered was we were having fun.

In the end, we lost.

The brotherhood of Indak went straight to Glorietta. To mourn, no. It was to celebrate.

Hahaha. Kakamiss. And yun yung panahong sinayaw namin ang retro tunes na Can’t Touch This at Hataw Na.

But the crowd was cheering for us. :)

And we had fun. And that’s what matters, diba?

Went to Tiendesita’s with the family. Usual stuff. Shopping, kain, doggy watching. Hahaha.

Pero kanina weird. Kasi sobrang lakas ng ulan. So, sobrang ginaw nung place.

So ito, nakaupo na kami, handang kumain… All of a sudden biglang namatay yung kuryente, sumigaw yung mga tao, and then nagka-kuryente ulit. Twice nangyari yun, langya.

Hahaha. Total darkness, except for the kandilas and flashlights and of course the kidlats.

Candle-lit kainan. Pero umuulan pa rin. So hinidi siya warm and fuzzy and romantic. :p At namamatay yung mga kandila!

After a few minutes, nagkailaw na. Pero yung mga food stalls lang. Yung ibang stalls walang ilaw. Hahaha. Exciting. Adventure! Maraming manderekwat.

Pero fun talaga! Seryosong adventure kasi walang ilaw yung ibang parts. Lalo na yung Antique Village. With the 3 levitating antique heads. Scary. Hahaha.

So ‘yun…

Shopping mode ako kanina. Bought 2 shirts. A WWCND shirt and Team Manila’s Istambay habangbuhay shirt. Yeah! Gotta love Firetrap and Team Manila shirts

What would Chuck Norris do?
Parang ganito itsura niya. Same colors, same font, but mine has a cowboy after the WWCND.
In the website it costs $22.90, while I got mine for P390!
(Do I hear the term export overruns? Hahaha.)

Bwahahaha.

Statement shirts are not dead!

Or ako lang yun? Hahaha.

Ano ba uso ngayon?

Hello. This is another one of those Geeky ShortStat posts. I know most of you cannot relate, but, please bear with me. It’s my blog after all, so I could write about anything I want. And a lot of the ShortStat referrals I receive recently are people Googling your names. Yes, your names, my dear friends. People are stalking you in the net!

First off, the PBB keywords:

Kim pbb
Mikee pbb
Gerald pbb
kim gerald loveteam pbb
Aldred pbb
Mikki pbb
Niña pbb
love triangle of kim, mikee and gerald in pinoy big brother house teen edition

Dati palaging magkasama yung keywords na Kim at Mikee.

Now the weird keywords:

Atenista mayayabang
atenista blog
Tama Umaga
eklaboom
yucoco
Kyla Hanggang Ngayon
Up or Ateneo
All movies with Rex Lapid

Tanya Manalang (number 1 ka with 5 hits)
Bia Catbagan (with 4 hits)
Sacki Taus (with 3 hits)
PC Magnaye
Migs Nograles
Regina Belmonte
Mela Abesamis
Vincent Racoma
BA Racoma

Hahaha. Weird ng feeling tuwing nakikita kong may search string tapos pangalan ko yung nasa string. So kayo, ano kaya nararamdaman niyo?

Ayan. Sorry sa geekiness. Hahaha. Kababawan ko lang. :) Masiyado kasing malupit ang ShortStat eh. Get a Wordpress blog and see for yourself!

You’re not a girl anymore! You’re a teen anymore!

After coming from the Lauan center in B. Gonzales this afternoon, I decided to do some Katipunan tripping. I walked the long road of Katipunan for wala-lang’s sake.

Usually, when I’m in Katipunan and I’m low on cash, I end up in National Bookstore, searching for possible books that I might purchase and read after finishing any current book that I’m reading (asa pa na matatapos ko ang Sherlock Holmes collection in the near future, hahaha).

So that’s what happened. After walking the long stretch between B. Gonzales and the Ateneo overpass, I found myself in National Bookstore again, checking out the books that they had.

I chanced upon some kids, together with their parents, walking around the store bearing a couple of baskets and a few checklists. They were gathering the usual school stuff: Notebooks, pens, pencils, paper, scissors, glue, tapes, correction tapes, etsetera, etsetera.

School stuff.

Seems like yesterday when the damned smell of the newly purchased plastic covers for highschool schoolbooks alerted my nostrils. Ugh. I abhor the season.

Although things are going to be different now.

Pasukan na! Waaaah!

On a lighter note about pasukan…

Pia, my niece, just entered the room, wearing her newly purchased school uniform. Turns out she’s going to start her schooling this June. Yeeey! Pre-school na si Pia!

She’s gonna learn a lot! She’s gonna learn to talk, to spell, to do math, to extort money from her ninong, to harass her ninong…

Oh noooo. The kid’s growing up!

Hahaha.

Teen Big Brother

Mas malala pala yung Teen Big Brother sa UK. May sex! Yes, teenage sex! And it was aired on British television (although nakatago sila sa kumot).

Hahaha. Makes me realize how conservative Pinoys are compared to the westerners.

The Last Stand

Watched X-men 3: The Last Stand with a few friends this afternoon.

Hahaha. I think I’m in crush!

Cute siya pero hindi siya hot. Yung hot si Mystique! Dibadibs?

Ang cute ni Kitty!!!

Been chatting with Macai a few minutes ago. We talked about how her first day funk in La Salle went.

‘Twas fun, she said. Though tinambakan agad sila ng homework. But fun, still.

Makes me think about how my first day funk in UP will go.

UP Diliman, BS Statistics, batch ‘10, block O4…

Any blockmates out there? Haha
