early this morning, while we were having our reflection period, there was this teacher who was at the back of our classroom, looking after the class. after a few minutes, he asked us to pray. to pray for big boy, who was in the hospital, and father bert, who died this morning.
we were all like, “sir, sinong father bert ‘yan?”
he said, “sino pa bang father bert ang kilala niyo?”
nagulat ang mga tao.
“shit, patay na si father ampil!”
it’s as if the dumbledore of ateneo high school just died (and the hagrid of the school was in the hospital =P)
i couldn’t believe that he was already dead.
but…
he wasn’t… =P turns out that there was another father bert in the campus. (anong klaseng announcement ba yan. hindi specific…)
it was father bert trinidad who passed away 6am this morning.
it’s a pity i never got to know this father bert. i heard many wonderful stories about him from our subject teachers.
